Nobody says you have to use the upper motor mount position. Put the motor off to one side and it will be lower than the stock position. the tranny is already about a half inch lower. I usually put my motor on the opposite side as the steering servo, as low as possible. You may need to put the motor up one spot from the bottom position on the motor mount to make room for the speed controller.
