Mamba Maxx or Quark 80B - 11.07.2006, 04:22 AM

I am planning on doing a 1/8 buggy conversion next. I have a Lehner 1940/7 that I want to use. I am planning to run a 5s 5000mah Lipo pack as the standard setup. Do you guys think I will be better off with the Mamba Maxx or the Quark 80B?

I know it has been confirmed with a test or 2 around here that the MM will run 5s, but is it expecting to much to run 5s all the time?

The Quark 80B can handle the 5s no problem, its actually specified for 6s. But its only a 80 amp controller. Is 80A enough? Which is the better choice here?

The plan for this buggy is not the track, so I'm not all that worried about weight. Its going to be used for bashing and drag racing against nitro buggies. So I want the high top speeds that the 5s will allow me to achieve. And the Lehner 1940/7 is the motor I already have so I am planning around these 2 things.

Which would be better for this aplication? I am leaning towards the Quark 80B right now. But really would love the programability of the Mamba.

(Damn It.... Where is that Mamba Monster Maxx????)

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
