did any single cell get hotter than the rest. you could have a bad cell
also check the the rest of the solder joints to make sure you dont have any other bad ones.
When you rearaged the cells did were you careful not to use to much heat when soldering them. Ecessive heat can cause a cell to go bad. Its best to use a high wattage soldering iron so you can apply heat quickly and not keep the heat on the cell for more that 5 seconds. More than that and you risk melting the seal in the cell and causing it to fail quickly.
I have ruined more than one cell in my day. I hate soldering packs. Its a PITA :019:
