LEDs RARELY burn out. Which wires did you shorten? The motor and power wires are quite easy to shorten. The throttle cable might be a little more difficult. If you have a solder bridge between the middle red wire and the brown wire, you could have damaged the internal BEC, or it may be in "protection mode".
