I remember it very much.
They are still broadcasting it in some of the channels of the Nile satellite.
It's good at it's time, however, the real anime that really made me interested in japanese cartoon was none other than ROBOTECH: THE MACROSS SAGA.
I used to watch it when I only was 6 years old.
Another anime which I pretty much adore is Cowboy Bebop.
