I first changed over to brushless motors for the same reason. The dirt and dust where I live would kill any brushed motor within one week of lite bashing. I've even killed a few brushless motors. But now I've learned to seal up the motors nice and tight. Use silicon where the wires come out, I even put electrical tape over the screw holes not being used to mount the motor. The Lehner 1900 motors are great. Not only are they the best motors, but they are completely sealed. Just remember to cover up every pin hole on the motor, including the screw holes not being used to mount the motor. Do that and they will last forever.....or until you burn it up LOL.
