For me Vampire Hunter D did not really impress me that much.
My top five anime movies of all time would be:
5- TransFormers the movie
4- Princess Mononoke
3- Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heaven's door
2- Spirited Away
1- Samurai X: Remembrance ( Trust & Betrayal).
