I was using the MX-3 + Airtronics RX and had terrible luck. I switched over to a Novak XXTra and WOW what a huge difference. I get incredible range on anything that I use that combo on. I can just about drive it clear out of sight. I pick mine up used on fleabay, and end up paying about $45. It's a great deal when you consider you don't have to buy any more RX crystals.
