Take a good look at a diesel motor once, and you'll see where a lot of that weight is. Add in the beefier frame/differentials/tranny/brakes/wheels/springs/etc and its actually suprising that they ONLY weigh 2500 more.

With all that torque coming in right off the bat, something has to give - be it traction, or parts!

No different than doing it with an RC car....Emaxx's are a heavy beast with a ton of torgue, and thats why you see so many twisted drive shafts on them.
