Forgive me, but I'm a newbie to the world of electric conversion. Where can you get the kind of outdrive cup you are talking about? I could imagine using the transmission with the optional 2-speed to build up a 2-speed BL 1/8th buggy.
Note, by the way, that there
is a center diff in the tranny. From the press release:

Also, note that the 2-speed is optional; the Nitrage will run in the truggy class as long as the stock single-speed is kept.
Edit: Here's a photo showing the front and rear brakes, which strongly suggests a center diff:
