Tower has some small sheets, but it's not good for bending (has horrible stress cracks). onlinemetals.com has a wide selection, prices are so-so, but the quality is good. I'd go with 6061-T6; it's strong, yet relatively easy to work with.

Even if Lowe's had the stuff you want, it would most likely be a lower grade aluminum.
