Another thing you should pay attention to is the XL motors shaft is not quite as long as the Neu motor shafts. These guys have their pinion gears set on the shaft with the set screw out, you my not have enough room to get a set screw on the shaft in that orientation. You might want to have Mike mill a slot down in the face of the motor mount to allow access to tightening and losening the pinion set screw if you have to turn it around.

I ran into this once when making a motor mount once. It worked fime with the longer Neu shaft and the pinion set screw at the very end of the motor shaft, but the XL shaft was just a little to short to work without turning the pinion around, and then I couldnt get to the set sew cuz it was inside the clearance slot in the aluminum motor mount.

Not sure if it will be a problem, but just something to be aware of is all.
