hi

i and a colleage of mine also have two pedes that are more or less exactly modded like yours (rpm carrier, bumper, idler). he started off with the 5700 mamba. but it had to be geared quite low otherwise the motor got hot. no probs with the esc. so i bought the 4600 mamba and it works great. he has now also changed to the 4600 motor. but i am sure one can settle things with the gearing.

so far i have not changed the slipper to the newer version. what is nice to change however are the new 2.8 talon tires from the new stampede. after some 20 batteries now i stripped the diff. i guess in the medium run the upgrade aluminium/steel diff here from the shop will be the way to go. otherwise i am totally impressed by the performance of this little truck. it is soo nice to drive and jump like crazy. i have to admit that the stampy that i originally bought as some kind of "backup car" is starting the get my no 1 fun car in the gravel pit. and it sure has some decent competitors :-). it is a challenge to drive because of 2wd but one gets used to it.

btw i had the novak ss5800 in it to start with. that is no comparison to the mamba system when in comes to perfomance. with 6 cells the mamba is very nice with 7 cells the car gets real fast.

bye
