I used to run a Hacker C50 and MasterCar Sport. They had two versions... one with built in BEC and one without (OPTO).
Either way, it's best to not use the built in esc. It's not quite as simple as cutting off the switch. Do this... remove the red wire from the reciever plug. This disables any built-in BEC.
Then use a rx pack or other BEC device, powered off the main battery, to power the rx.
You can use the esc swtich if you want... or you can cut it off and solder the wires together (permanently turned on). Also you can use another switch on the separate BEC device to switch on the rx... or you can leave it hardwired also.
Without switches you simply unplug the main battery.
It's a universal issue... not specific to the Hacker escs.
