The article that was referenced is in the Nov.2006 issue of RC Car action, an E-maxx owner said he used a #44 drill bit. He heated the shaft in a toaster oven set at 400 degrees and pressed the pin in with some channel lock type pliers. This may work for you as it did for him but it's not guarnteed to fit. I tried it and it would not fit so I made a pin out of some weld rod that I turned down to size on a lathe. It hasn't given me any problems since. Good luck.
