I don't know...if they can stand up to 2.5-3hp Nitro engines, I'm pretty sure they can hold up to the average brushless system (not like a 2250 on 5S, but something resonable).
Plus, Robinson Racing came out with a bunch of steel gears so you can basically make the entire Revo tranny steel, including the 2 speed gear sets. They are hella expensive, but its a possibility if you really want to stick with the two speed and have it be really reliable.
