If your going to pend $150 on a Pede tranny all decked out you can get a Emaxx tranny for $80 on ebay and then a steel idler from Mike for $15. Thats cheaper and stronger and it fits without any hassel?

Not quite sure why you are looking to build up a $150 stampede tranny to see if it will work. Take that same $150 and you can build a Emaxx tranny with all the bells and whistles. You dont need an aluminum case on an emaxx tranny for it to be strong enough. Stock with a 2nd gear steel idler. Lock it in 2nd gear with a bent piece of wire on the shift fork and your done.
