Lehner 2250/? - overkill? -

Question for the experts,
I'm underway with my Brushless MGT conversion, and am deciding on powerplants. I'm going to be using the Quark Monster Pro ESC, and just need to decide on a motor.
I'm looking for all around specs, runtime, but with that on-demand power that will flip the truck onto its lid whenever I get a little wild.
My original choice was the Feigao 7XL, it sounds like it has done very well for many people on the forums. But, I'm willing to spend some more to get more.
I have experience with Lehner motors for the 1/10th scale cars, and I was very impressed. Got me to reading around, and I saw the 22xx series motors. While they are on the large side, they put out crazy wattage, which would be great.
I don't have experience with the larger motors though, and am wondering if they are just "too much" power, even for a large truck like the MGT. I was looking at the 2250 specs, and the 2000w output, with a 3000w surge is 2.7-4+ HP in nitro specs, which don't even exist in most trucks.
Would runtime stink to high heaven with a 2250/10 or 2250/12? I don't want to have to run more than 16 cells, or maybe 5s LiPo, just to go dink around. I'd probably have to run a very tall pinion on such a powerful motor.
Any ideas? Nevermind budget, I can save and live on Corn Flakes for a little bit. I also heard there's a great deal on some recalled pet food, I could go that route. :020:
Thanks,
10k
