I would go a 2240 before a 2250. The 1950 is more than enough more to push a mgt around. I have a video of a mgt with center diff that will wheelie.
The 1950 8t on 6s lipo is great. Since you don't want that much. You could go a 1950 7t and 4s. 2250 10t just starts good one 6s lipo.
