Congrats on the wins GD! But you knew you were going to win. ;)

Yeah, I had a heck of a time at first (as you know as you flipped my buggy over for me a number of times, lol). And then I all but knocked his water bucket over coming in from a jump. Argg. It was the first time running it on the track (not counting the 5 minutes I ran last week before snapping the shock tower). I was slowly doing better as the track got some use but then my batts died. I got a solid 40 minutes on the 8Ah cells though - and that's using the Neu 2d geared 46/16! Motor/ESC/battery temps at the end were very respectable; hand-touch estimate at 120*F give or take. The Hyper 8 was wayyy too fast though - I ended up turning the throttle EPA down to about 60%.

I ran the Revo too, which seemed more fun. I like power sliding through the corners - which WAS NOT working with the Hyper 8, lol.

My son did have a little fun running his Stampede (stock-ish motor with some LRP ESC), but it was his first time on a track of any kind. He got tired of running pretty quick (only one pack of GP3300's) and then got very bored and complained, which is why we left. If I was alone, I probably would have recharged my cells and tried racing anyway (although I know I'd be dead last - maybe even still there finishing up :)).

Props to you for being the only person out there I saw making the track driveable. I don't know how much time you spent between sumping the standing water off the day before and then conditioning it today, but it was a LOT better than it was!
