Bl Kyosho MP777WC - 01.13.2008, 05:02 PM

Alrighty then,

Chapito has inspired me to convert a buggy. Actually i have wanted too for a long time. I came across a SMOKING (LITERALLY) GOOD deal on this buggy.

I painted a body while i am waiting on parts. I did copy off my man Chapito, except i reversed the fade! Anyway that blue goes better with my Kyosho blue than the Losi stuff... I will post more pics and video as soon as she's up and running.

Here is the setup:

MM and Plettenberg Bigmaxximum
Spektrum Pro RX
JR 9000T Servo
4S 5K mah Maxamps
RCM Mount and Batt Tray
(JUST WAITING ON THE MOUNT AND TRAY)

Wow! The 777WC is incredibly pricy! How much did you drop to get it?

It was used but with a brand new chassis. $400 with a bunch of extras my friend had.

Nah not as in caught fire, SMOKING as in Nitro powered. It was a Kyosho sponsered drivers car before I got it. At least I get great deals on parts for it. As far as the MM goes I have ran a Pletty on a MM on 4S and 5S for a long time with no real issues. I did experience some cogging when I was experimenting with gearing but when I got to 18/48 it was solid and drove perfect. I did blowup that MM due to trying to run 6S cause I thought i had some one of a kind MM that could take 10S if i wanted it too... Nah but seriously, it was one tough controller. I put it through hell...I hope my new one lasts as long and takes as much abuse..

9000T Installed - 01.17.2008, 01:47 AM

The 9000T has made it into the car. Also started thinking about the layout of the car. Mike showed me some pictures of a RC8 he had in his shop as well as another Kyosho. On the RC8 he made a shelf for the MGM and it looked pretty slick. I may try and do something similar to keep the MM from having to be servo-taped to the chassis. Might could work if I mounted a little L shaped piece of aluminum to the battery tray kinda facing the rear of the car. The tray and mount should be here tomorrow... SEE BELOW:

Nah, I can't race tomorrow. My wifes friend is getting married so I go to go to that junk. Its on for next Saturday though if ya want to come up. That gives me all week to practice with it and dial out any bugs. Elliot, Steve and I actually got her going today and drove it around the parking lot at toys for a bit. Man is this thing CRAZY FAST! Probably going to be way to much for the track so I am going to have to address that one way or the other! I also noticed a bit of cogging and I am using my standard 18/48 gearing and Punch is at its highest so I am at a loss...
