RCM out of stock products?? - 04.08.2008, 08:19 PM

hey guys, when will the out of stock items be available?

i am looking for the hardened steel idler transmission gear for the emaxx.
i am going to be getting the MMM and need to order some parts including the Feigao/Nemesis/Wanderer "XL" 8XL. what else do i need to make it run without having to worry about it breaking something the first pull on the throttle?

who runs the 8xl and what do i need to get the most speed and torque possible long term. dont want it getting too hot or anything.

DickyT has been helping me with everything so far and has been a huge help, but he doesnt have the 8xl and i want to hear from those who have it and love it.

Not sure when the gear will be back in stock, but as for the 8xl, I run the 9xl and love it. I think you may prefer it since you mentioned that you want it to be very torquey in the long run, and the 9xl will run cooler as well. Also if you ever want to run a higher voltage on the MMM, the 9xl can easily handle it.

thanks for the response. but i have a few questions on that note.
whats the diffrence in the 7xl, 8xl, 9xl and the 10xl? 10 would be for raw torque and no speed, 7 would be all speed? but run hot? this is the knowledge i am getting, but would prefer to hear it from you, one who has them.
DickyT did some calculations lastnight for me. running my spc 7 cell 460's, 5.5mm tires and whatever gearing he picked, i could get 45 out of the 8xl.

this is right around where i wanna stay. i do NOT want the motor to start to get hot and have to worry about it busting on me or anything.

7XL, has higher KV (rpms/volts), so you gain more rpms from less voltage, but amp draw is higher, and produces more heat...
10XL, has lower KV, so you gain more rpms from more voltage, but amp draw is less, and produces less heat. more torque on low voltage.

7XL, 8XL, 9XL, 10XL, 11XL.. they're all capable of the same kind of power... just whatever tickles ur fancy...

ok, so you think 8xl would be my best bet? i have no idea. i am only listening to what DickyT tells me. he seems pretty knowledgeable. but i, again, would like to hear from someone with an emaxx, 8xl

With your setup of 12 and 14 cells nimh and someday 4s lipo the 8xl in my opinion is the best choice for you. but you already knew that ;)

Hey, you can't stop here! This is bat country!

As your attorney I suggest the 8XL

Fun and joke aside, I have some 8XLs, 9XLs .... the 8XL is nice on 14 cells or 4S. Gets a bit hot if I drain some 8000mAh batts through it (have to give it a break halfway through the pack on hot days, no fan though), but a nice motor nevertheless. For that price, you can't complain.

LMFAO... you are the first one to notice anything about my avatar. that is one of my favorite movies.

so you think i will be fine with my 4200 6cell's and my 4600 7 cells and eventually the lipo?? EVENTUALLY.

Oh yes, definitely. I ran an 8XL on 12 or 14 cells in a 1/8 buggy for some time, that motor is still going strong.

Just stay away from ether! Yeah, great movie, agree (says a lot about us, don't you think? --- not the movie, but us liking it ) I just finished the book, you should check it out, it's great.

i only ever read 1 book in my life. Moby Dick. BUUUUT, if i ever wanted to read another, that would defiantly be it. isnt there other movies that he wrote books on that were good? i think i recall someone telling me another movie but cant think of it.
