just say no to maxamps, just bad- try out some Neu energy's, Flightpowers or enderlands

just grab as close to 5000mah 4s lipo 25c you can afford
5s would be better but your mamba max may become unreliable
offshore electrics states that your 9xl has max amps of 74 but that will spike now and again
and your mamba can handle it so long as temps are good
their are other people on this forum that run their revos on 4s with mm and 9xl's maybe they will chime in
also is it a converted revo or e-revo

Mambamax is rated for 100amps, dunno about surge really- it will handle 120-130amps though in those situations.

Any lipo that can deliver 80-100amps+ continuously is fine- something from rclipos.com or the hobbycity zippies fit the bill nicely.

I had a firefox 4s lipo rated at 20c and my 7xl cooked the thing at 150 plus degrees, so watch out for cheap cells!

umm, take a guess... perhaps 125? :P
and guess what the quark 80 is rated for?

nice to know they rate their controllers to make it impossible to miss (just messing with ya!)

anyway, its a 6s 125A controller, 5s is fine, 6s is hit and miss. using a ubec and cap will make it run perfectly on 6s. BUT there is very limited support with these escs. so watch out!
