Spectrum sr3100?? - 02.17.2009, 10:04 AM

Ok well I am finally breaking out some of my new electronics for setup in my RCM Maxx (DX3R & SR3100). I have never used Spectrum before and there are no instructions with the receiver showing how to hook it up for the Maxx trucks. it is a little bit different from the TRX receiver.

...BAT/BIND
...STR
...THR
...AUX
- + ?

So what goes where? I can guess the steering ok (STR). Which one is for the ESC & the shift servo? Plus which way does the wiring go blk/red/white?? Sorry but I surely do not want to hook it up wrong and burn up a $100 receiver. I love how small this thing is compared to some other ones out there. On the TRX receiver the black is on the left edge, then red, and white. Is it the same on the 3100? Thanks for the help guys. My kids are now bugging me to get my truck running so they can see how much different it is from the stock truck. This one is huge with the Dewalt 970 V-twin setup on the Novak super duty XR ESC, and 10,000mah 11.1volt packs it weighs just under 15lbs. I wanted a beast and I surely have one now. I have two caps on the ESC, and I plan to put a glitch buster on the receiver to help keep things running smooth.

BIND: For your bind plug when binding with Tx
STR: Steering Servo port
THR: ESC port
AUX: 3rd channel port

Based on this pic:

The - is your black or brown wire, + is red and the square pulse shape at the top is your signal which should be white.

So I take it this means that once the receiver is binded that the Glitch buster cap would go in the same port(bind/bat)? correct? And thanks for straightening me out on the polarity end. At least now I can hook it up without worrying about frying something. I hope to have some action pics and video this weekend.

Thank you for the carification Skellyo.

Yep, you can put the cap in the bind/bat port after you have it bound. And, you're quite welcome!
