Gearing E-maxx with MMM combo - 03.28.2009, 01:37 AM

What gearing would you guys suggest for a 3906 E-maxx with the MMM 2200 combo. I am currently running a HV6,5 with 70/12 gearing.

If the postal service are on time, I should recieve my MMM combo today, and I see that it comes with a 18t. pinion. Should that be ok with the 70t spur gear?

I am running on 2 x 7,4 v. Maxamps 6000 mah. lipos.

I am using the RRR slipper, and their smallest spurgear is 66 tooth. Should I just go with a 26 pinion then?

i don't know if 26 will be hard on motor or not. and maybe you will find a problem with mesh spur and pinion.
if you have 6s setup you can use 18/66 and get 46mph without worry about temp.

and you can convert your tranny to gorilla single speed with revo input then you can use the new e-maxx spur style just like me.

The tranny is Gorilla single speed ( you can see full set-up in the link in my signature).

Do you have a link to the Revo input?

If you run the set up 66 rrp spur/22 pinion with the mashers, 2200kv on 4s you will be cruising a nice 43.5, want faster just up to 5s (54mph) and 6s (65mph)...

Thanks for the replies. I will pick the system up at the postal office today, and start out with the 70 t RR spur I have and the 18 t pinion that is included. At the same time I will order a 66 RR spur and a few pinions, so I can try out what works.
