Those look like orion 4800 hardcase packs to me. Why would the buggy have a MMM in it if the motor was sensored? Seems like they would have come out with their own ESC if that was the case, or used a Tekin. Also, no threaded shocks? Also as Chris said, WTF is up with those upper arms?
On a good note, is that a special MMM mount there?

There esc is probably still in R&D.
no special mount.
MMM is the industry standard so why not use it

are those weights on the motor side? WTF! I'd rather be a little unbalanced and lighter than balanced and heavier. (so says a fat unbalanced man )

Looks like somebody's conversion. Still nice, but not as clean as the Hyper 9 E.

hyper 9E is a bit different all together. made completely apart form most other 1/8 cars.
this looks like someone made this form scratch, but with the help of a manufacturer, most likely a prototype form Kyosho. i would love to get my hand on that battery tray for my two orion 4800 packs! looks killer.
and a CF brushless can. total bling.
cant say anything about that esc though. looks like a MMM, but with a sensored motor/? just dont know

I don't like how they added weight to the righ side to balance it out. They should have designed it better and put a battery on both sides for better balance.
IMO, how 8th scale buggies/truggies should be designed is the servo (or servos), esc, radio, and one battery on one side and the other battery and motor on the other side. The center diff and motor might have to be shifted a little but at the end I would imagine it to have pretty good balance.
Adding weights only weighs the car down and hinders performance. It's like putting sandbags in the back of your truck in the summer...
