The "Bash-Maxx" from Europe - 12.14.2009, 09:37 AM

Hello,

My name is Patrick and i come from Austria/Europe. I want to present my "Bash-Maxx" here in your forum.
My english is not very good, and so i will post more pictures. If you have questione i hope i can answer it.

Now to my Maxx. I took 2 FLM-Chassis and play "FRANKENSTEIN"

I make the Chassis longer for 6,5cm. Now the Wheelbase is 40,5cm (around 16") and i make the Savage Flux Lipoboxes on the Chassis. So the weight is lower and the Maxx is very easy to drive. Not always lying on the back after a fullthrottle an no rolling to the side when driving corners.
The maxx also have FLM Combo-Bulks, full RPM suspension and a CC Combo with 2200kV which i drive on 4s Lipo.

anough words, now to the pic´s.

I've thought about doin this to an FLM chassis to lower its CG... Just hard for me to justify cuttin up a perfectly good $100 chassis ... Any way you could post some close ups of how the boxes are mounted? Maybe some vids too ...

So that's what all the fuss was about...

Nice build man... lowering the FLM Chassis transforms the Maxx into a entirely new truck... what shock/spring combo are you using now?
I Have an FLM mod too that has been a whole lot of fun... you can see it in my sig below.

Sweet truck! keep us updated.

Thanks for your congratulations. (From the Masters of the forum it taste very good)

I hope you can see, that the conversion is done very well and not crapy. The most work was he thinking about how i can make it. This take about 2 mounth, the working self was only 5 hours.

i´m proud of the weight. 4.617 gramm (about 10.20 OZ) without Lipos

here are more pic´s

Great build, smart piece of engineering.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

Original mods indeed, good job
I like the welded rear center driveshaft

I have a FLM chassis as well, I found another solution to protect the packs and to fix the pack's sliding problem : RCM custom trays

Maybe Mike (RCM owner) can make a rear center driveshaft for you, if yours doesn't last

A vid would be cool !

I swear 2 weeks ago I was looking at the flux boxes for my FLM maxx braces! Maybe you've seen MY MAXX? I am going to cut the trays and mount my packs saddle style as documented. I still plan to do this even though you beat me to the punch, I still have some setup that will make my Maxx unlike another. GREAT JOB!! EXCELLENT!

Great Job, thats looks seamless.

I had looked at the flux battery tray too, but couldn't figure out a way to fit them, nerver thought of cutting the chassis and if I had, I couldn't have brought myself to doing it.

Well Done.

Sorry no videos ant this time. outside is all full of snow everywhere.

Now it was time to make a nice Karo and put on better looking wheels.
The karo is from an XTM Mammouth an have 39cm wheelbase and fits perfect. Wheels are PL Masher 3.2 with 8-shooter beadlocks.

greats pako
