Turnigy/Hobbywing 150A with 2350kv 3674 battery question. - 10.13.2009, 04:07 AM

Hey fellas,

I am seriously considering buying a used Hyper ST which already has a Tekno conversion done to it, it comes with a couple of pinions, 3 bodies and 2x motors, 1x Novak HV 4.5 and 1x Novak HV 6.5.
All that for AU$250 posted.

I also have 1/10 models which use 2s lipos and I only just got 2x turnigy 5000mah 2s 20c lipo packs.

So I am wondering if the Turnigy/Hobbywing 150A ESC with the 2350kv motor would be fine with 2x 2s 5000mah 20 lipos?
They claim the motor runs at a maximum of 74A, but I am sure burst would be much higher.

Later down the track, I would eventually swap out the 2350kv motor and probably go for something closer to 2000kv or a bit under, I would most likely keep the hobbywing esc.

I would sell the novak motors for the turnigy/hobbywing combo, from what I can see, they are too high kv for what I want and would mean having to get bigger and more expensive batteries.

Cheers.
