I know of a couple people over on the traxxas board that uses one...for instance candyman does and I think a few others.......basicly you are taking your voltage from your packs and bumping it down to the following....
Output Voltage: 5V jumper in 6V jumper out.
Output Current: Consistant 3Amps. Max 5A 3 Sec.
5V 6V
Std Servo 10pcs 8pcs
High Torque Servo 5pcs 4pcs
Digital Servo 4pcs 3pcs
Output Voltage: 5V or 6V
the max the servo's can handle is 6V....so you should be O.k......but I'll let others chime in also...to ease your mind...

Good job, my lhs didn't have them! It's lame, i asked the guy too if he had ubec's...he said "what's that?" I said never mind, i'll go on line. It's like these guys are burnt out from the nitro they breathe or something!!!! They know nothing about electric, the guy didn't even know what the emaxx is, but he knew what a tmaxx was? At least, this is here in MN!!!! Yeah sure, you betcha, UBEC eh? What's that eh?

here is a alternative for you......till you can get a UBEC....goto radio shack and pick up a 4 cell AA holder and solder a servo plug to the end of it......red/red & black/black and then remove the extra wire....out of plug....then plug it into the slot on the receiver...labeled batt......make sure the black wire is the same way as your servo wires.......pick up some 3mm screws from a hardware store and you could be up and running in a half hour or so....just a thought for ya...

that will work fine......you can splice into the wires coming off of it...before the plug and add a basic ON/OFF switch then plug it in to the rec...

cool, i have switch from my old set up. It has two outs and one in...i think, anyways, it's one plug on one side, and a female and male on the other. I tried to figure out how i could use it with the two plug prong, but didn;t seem to fit correctly. I may have to mod the plug huh? And then only use one side, it's like a Y if that helps...one side one has two wires, the other is the side with two leads, one has the female, the other the male.

Not at the moment, harness is at home! Are you going to be on tonite? It's kinda of a wierd one made by traxxas...it only has two wires, not three, like is was designed for rx packs....thanks!
