Waterproofing with Latex? - 04.16.2011, 12:05 AM

Hey fellas,

Gonna try my hand at waterproofing (or rather water resisting... doesn't sound right, haha) my electrics soon and was thinking of latex.

A couple of layers/dips should provide enough protection and would be easy to remove.

Anyone else tried using latex?
Any specific type of latex?

From my understanding, latex is not an electrical conductor, so should be fine for waterproofing stuff right?

Just incase others ask...
Yes I can get plastidip but it is very expensive (about $70).
I realise there are also others people have used with success but these are also quite expensive.
