My ideal has come ture - 09.03.2012, 01:50 AM

hi all this is my setup for a drag racing system use a Arduino processor
software is done testing is done now just getting finishing touches done will post pics when 100% done..:

STL RC Drag Racing Club!!!!

Arduino Pins Setup
Drag Racing Setup Using Arduino Sw1 Select between High Speed Pass or Dual Lane Races
Input 2 - When Switch 1 Is High (5 volt Input or digital 1) High Speed pass will be selected, When LOW (0 volts or digital 0) Dual Races Will is selected tied to.
Input 3 – Will reset after race(s) or completed.
Input 4 – Staging LED for lane 1 *
Input 5 – Staging LED for lane 2 *
Output – 6 LED for “READY”
Output - 7 LED for “SET”
Output – 8 LED for “RACE”
Input / Output - 9 N / C
Input – 10 Photo Eye Begin for high speed Pass
Input – 11 Photo Eye END for high Speed pass, lane 1 Finished Photo Eye
Input – 12 Lane 2 Finished Photo Eye, No connection on High speed passes.
In High Speed Pass Mode Select high speed pass with switch 1 (*and to disable Staging Mode Select Switch 3 this also works with dual lane races). Press reset and the lights will begin to phases down from ready (Red LED) Delay 1.8 seconds to set (Yellow LED) 1.8 seconds to Race (Green LED) No Delay .This setup only measure a 10 foot portion of the trace serial data output:

STL RC DRAG RACING CLUB!
RACE #...STAGING…
High Speed Pass
STAGING SET
<…Ready…>
<…SET…>
<…Race!!...>
Elapsed Time Speed
247.00 ms 27.60 MPH

This data is outputted to a computer for logging data or to a LCD display….

Using Switch 1 to Select Dual Lane Races in this mode staging Process is use but can be disabled using switch 2. The Staging process both cars has to block the staging photo eye (on the Xmas tree lights the LED for Lane 1 and Lane 2 will be flashing ) when both photo eyes are blocked the Lane LED’s will stop flashing indicating the staging is complete and the race is ready from this the race count down will automatically start from ready (Red LED) Delay 1.8 seconds to set (Yellow LED) 1.8 seconds to Race (Green LED) No Delay .This setup is for a 300 foot trace serial data output:

This data is outputted to a computer for logging data or to a LCD display….

RACE #...STAGING…
Dual Run
STAGING SET
<…Ready…>
<…SET…>
<…Race!!...>
…Lane One or Two …
Elapsed Time Speed
Lane 1
1.12 Seconds 183.45 MPH
Lane 2
1.48 seconds 137.93 MPH

In this setup dual lane races the lane LED’s will indicate which lane has won also if one car does not finish the race the system will time out in 10 seconds. If no car has completed the race No Winner serial data will be outputted and no Lane LED’s will light up.

This is how I want my panel to look when it done
