Smile jammin x1 cr witch motor? esc? - 12.03.2007, 09:29 PM

Hi im looking to go brushless in my jammin x1 cr. im not sure if i should go with the quark 125B or the mgm 160 ? both are $$$$. for a motor i was going to go with the neu but theres so many 2.5d 1y ect... could anybody tell me a good setup for this buggy. theres also the mm and a 8 xl that would be cheaper to buy but is it good? thanks

Can't really comment on the ESC's very much, but as for the Neu's, I think a Neu 1512 motor with about 2200KV or similar would work great in the buggy on 4 lipo. If you go with a Feigao, I'd actually go with a 9xl instead of the 8xl because it will run cooler, yet there will still be plenty of speed. The MM and 9xl would work great, but the reason it is so much cheaper than the MGM/Neu or Quark/Neu combo is because of the efficiency. It will run a lot hotter in a shorter amount of time than the higher end set ups.

i think im going to go with the 1512 f/d as for a esc i was reading in the latest R/C driver magazine. there running a mm with a neu 1512 1.5 d/f and he said there was little cogging but he fix it with castlelink program. i mite just try that and if it does not work maby the mgm would be best thanks
