Hoking-up two packs to a MM ESC??? - 02.25.2008, 03:47 AM

I'm planing on making two adapters for my Deans equiped MM esc. one for parrelel and one for series. Are there any issued with having adapters rather than just rigging the MM esc with two Deans for two packs in series?

Also I noticed the ESC doesn't have a failsafe so can I just use a standard micro failsafe on it so if I loose signal it'll stop?

making adapters is fine. not sure on the failsafe. I never had any problems with mine. If I went out of range or lost signal, it just stopped.

I held the truck at part throttle and turn off the Tx and it went erratic. Does the Mamba have a built itnn fail safe?

My failsafes are usually part of the radio rx not the esc. But I'm pretty sure I've accidentally armed the MM before turning on the transmitter and it just sat there blinking at me...

i have 2 MM systems on my crawler, hooked up to a spektrum dx6. if i don't have my radio on first before arming the MM's, one of the MM's will run the brushless motor. the other sits silently.

i have another MM/brushless system where the motor/MM will sit silently if i arm it first. i'm not sure why the 1 system takes off with no signal.

My MM shuts everything down when it loses signal. There is no need for a fail safe. From time to time it may jerk around a little if I am using a reagular FM radio. Correct me if I am wrong but a fail safe is made for a Nitro setup so the servos are not stuck open when you loose signal.
