What do I need to do with my Fieago 7XL. Pic and vid inside. - 02.20.2008, 12:16 PM

I toasted my fieago 7xl.
Are the inside wires fine? (see pics) They have some "spilt-up" areas.
I think the only thing I need to replace is the big shaft with a crack in it. (See pic)
Where can I buy replacement parts?
Where can I send it in for warrenty, or
Here is a video of it running: (right click and save ~1.5Mb)

Let me know if the pictures are not working, Sorry for the big pictures:

The coils look ok, but the magnet on the rotor definitely has a crack in it and needs to be replaced.

Not sure where you can get parts, but I have an extra rotor from a 10XL that I can part with. I blew it being undergeared but the magnet still seems strong. I don't have the brass spacers anymore, but the rotor is in good shape. PM me if you want to work something out...

Contact vendor who supplied it - Feigao got me a replacement for free when this happened to me...

Brian G sold me the shaft to his 10XL. It should be a direct drop in replacement, and we will see if it works.

Hey Legobrains,

You have a clogged poor three hairs down from your left thumb knuckle. There is also a potential upcoming impacted hair about 10 hairs down from that.

I never seen pictures with SUCH detail! LOL

Canon has some excellent optics. 5MP Canon SD450 with the flash off and close up setting selected.

These fieago's have a rear end cap that is meant to be "taken apart" so that you can easily replace the bearings.

Heck, unless you loctie it, or put something in place to prevent it from coming off, they will unscrew just driving around...

I wanted to update you all.

BrianG sold me his motor shaft from a fieago 10XL.
I installed it into my 7XL can, and it works great.

I lucked out on this one. Didn't have to pay too much for my stupidity.

Heh, I was after a new rotor and was told by every vendor and even feigao themselves that they don't sell parts separately.

Second, you said the end unscrews, are you sure about this? everything I've read and the 3 feiago's I have are all press fit.

Thirdly. Why were all my pictures removed from all my threads? I assumed it was because of size.. but I guess not!

All three Feigaos I've had were pressed-in endbells. Don't know about the finned version though.

Don't know anything about pictures disappearing. You might want to PM Serum about that as he is an Admin and can see more details than I can...
