For racing I would think it would be fine- higher voltage, slower motor, fewer amps as a result. Just gear to suit your needs pretty much- run a CC BEC though, the built in one isnt upto much.

I use that setup in my thunder tiger ST-1 truggy, and I like it a lot. I haven't had any heat issues when running that motor, and it's been used on some hot days. A day or two after christmas it got to 44.5C (112f) here, and I was doing speed runs up and down the street on 6s without anything getting too hot. I don't remember the motor temps, because they weren't high enough to worry about.
The hottest day it's been raced was a bit over 35c (95f), and no thermals or overly hot motor (didn't have a temp gauge that day).
Usually after a race the motor will be around 45c, and the quark will be only slightly warm. I use the rcm quark heatsink with 1 40mm fan, and no internal mods or caps.

It seems to be pretty good on amp draw, since I use 1250-1500mahs in 5-5.5 minutes.

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Had that in my G2R also. Great setup. Just make sure you use some sort of heatsink on the Quark and you should be fine. If you can mount it flat to the aluminum chassis that would ork perfectly without adding any weight for the heatsink.

Fun part about that setup is if you want to see it go balistic just drop in a 6s pack and drop a tooth or 2 on the gearing and you will have more power than any truck was ever meant to have.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Thats my thoughts on 5S, I can out pull any truggy on 5s. I couldn't imagine 6s

Will that be too much for my quark to handle it on 6 s lipo? My quark is mounted on a large heat sink . I'll tke pics next time for you guys ca see it
