does anyone know if someone makes a 46 tooth spur for the mbx-5 - 04.07.2008, 06:14 PM

I am looking for a 46 tooth for my mugen. I did the speed calulations and w/my setup...9xl,mm esc, 4s the top speed is 32 or so and this is w/ a 16t pinion...is this about right?

I only have 4s batts right now so I guess this is about right. Anyone else using a similar set up...would like to know your results

thanks

I'm not sure if this http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...YOIF148&cat=40 will fit, but it's 46T. If it doesn't then this http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/1776 will.

The kyosho plastic spurs will not fit the mugen center diff , because the mugen uses 5mm outdrive's & the kyosho outdrives are 6mm .

I use the Kyosho center diff with 46T nylon gear in my MBX5. You need to get some Kyosho diff mounts, but it's a direct bolt-in.

Edit: I need to read before I post . My best guess is that he bought a used roller and someone might have changed it or he was using something else and found that with the 46T he would get more speed.

Have you tried bigger pinions? It's what I usually do when I need more speed. Right now I have a 17T and if I want more speed I can just add a from 18-30T pinions. For more speed you would need a smaller spur and/or bigger pinions, but keep in mind you will also increase the amount of AMPs.
