BL Revo radio range issues - 04.15.2008, 05:35 PM

First off thanks to everyone on here that has helped me out to get my BL project off the ground. I'll have pix up soon. Couldn't have done it without you. So let me break down my setup first. I'm running a Tekno BL Revo 10XL, MM, 5S 8000mah, with mechanical brake, and a UBEC powering servos and a fan for the MM. I have a brand new Futaba 3PM Fm radio system. My problem is that after the truck gets more than 50 or so yards away I start to lose contol of the truck and I have to walik up closer to it to get control back. I know it is not the radio or receiver as I have had the same problem with a TQ radio system. Any ideas? I'm stumped.

Man I have the same radio system and I too have this issue. Although for me, I never used to when my rig was nitro. I ended up ensuring the antenna wire was free and clear from contact with any of the servo leads to prevent EM; and I installed one of those glitch busters (capacitor) on my free 3rd channel. This helped a lot but it’s still limited. Next step for me in testing is to bypass the UBEC and run a dedicated receiver pack and see if it goes away.
