you could save a few bucks by waiting for the MMM, the HV110 is extreme overkill for what you are planning to use, its good for up to 50v (13s)

Because its junk for car applications....
I had one in my savage with a 7XL and 4s lipo and it was cogg city it would constantly cut in and out, totally undriveble. I now use a turnigy HV 100 amp esc with great results. I have also heard other guys using the HV phoenix with great results too.

FYI: The HV-110 is conservatively rated at 110A. Looking at the specs sheets, it could easily be relabeled as a HV-130 (and that's including temperature derating for ~170*F!)

Hey Brian, any idea how good the hv85 is? I have one and plan on using it with 8s lipo and a 1200kv motor in my flm savage. I figured that 85 amps at 30v would be sufficent to get the truck moving. Looks to be about 2.5hp if the system is about 80% eff.
