I like the gp 3300 and gp 3700. I hear alot of good things about the ibc 3800. I would like to try them before suggesting them. The truck will not do no better than what you put in. It makes a big difference. A stock emaxx on 14 good cells will break up shafts. If you get the ibc or the gp batteries are good. The gp 3700 are a little bit bigger. So are the ibc 3800. Not reall enough to worry unless space is tight.
Peace!

The motor's rating means nothing when it comes to how many amps it will actually pull. On average, the motor will only pull 15-20amps. On bursts, though, the motor can easily exceed its rating. The Warrior 9918 is a controller that is made for car use, and the Baracuda is for boat use (although someone somewhere said that they had excellent results with a Barracuda in a car). If the 9918 gets hot, then a fan can be put over its heatsink.

if you ever plan on running lipos or a bigger motor i would recommend the mgm 160. only thing is its only rated for 5s lipo or 16 cells. its still a very good controler. wish i had gotten one instead of the 9920. ofcoarse it wasnt out then.

Well i am not sure what to do for a controller cause i do not have the money to replace the controller. so it is buy one and never burn up or spend a little less and have a good chance of it burning up

the warrior wont burn up just because it says the motor is rated for 95 amps. it can handle burst of 120 no problem from what i have been told. numberous people on this forum run the 9920 with the 7xl. i myself am gonna get a 7xl to run in my evo with a 9920. i believe serum has a 7xl with a 9920 as does dafni....as long as you gear it correctly you dont have anything to worry about. i had a defective 9918 and it burnt up, but since it was under warranty it was replaced. not sure about what mikes warranty is but finedesignrc.com has a 2 year waranty. i would assume mikes is just as good as his prices are cheaper also. i wish he would have had the 9920s instock when i got mine....

Hey toby. I will tell you the bk controller are tough. I ran a 70 18 on a 7xl. I had the motor geared kind of high and 18 cells on it. I was killing the poor thing and didn't know any better. It lasted longer than i would have gave it now. Knowing what i know. I run a shulze 18 97 with 18 cells. I had the 7xl on that overgeared again. It is only rated for 97 continous. 9920 will survive good. I have faith in it. :)
Peace!
