I am running a Hitec HS-5955TG servo in my Revo, which is probably much heavier than an 8ight-T, so it would work great in your truck.

^ +1. I run the 5955tg in my xt8.
I've also been running a super cheesy TowerPro MG995 in my revo, and it keeps up ok. Its slow as hell, but gets the job done. rcm xt8 rcm xb8 rcm crt.5 |

JR 9000T. Great servo IMO. It'll turn anything.
Also the ACE DS1015 is a great servo and is much better than its specs. to make it... or break it... Silent...But Deadly |

The 645 would probably get ya by. Better than most rtr's have.
