A common lipo charger used is the Hyperion EOS0606i which you can get in AC/DC.

The LiPo's of choice right now are any that use Enerland cells. Mike has Neuenergy LiPo's which are enerland cells and very very nice. There's also flightpower, trakpower, polyrc, and a few others. You'll find them all similarly priced.

On a budget, the zippy packs at unitedhobbies are getting some good feedback, and the 8000mAh packs from TrueRC are quite nice.
