Neu motor for 1/10 4wd buggy? -
05.07.2008, 11:12 PM
Thinking of building a HB Cyclone D4. Maybe an xray if they ever come out with one (there is speculation on xrays forums that we may see one in '08 or '09).
The Neu 1506 might be a little bit to wide in diameter. You guys think a 11xx series would be able to power a 1/10 buggy - they are pretty light so it should be possible.
Would have to run saddle packs - probably two smaller 4S lipos run in parallel for efficiency over big amps with MM.
The 11xx also has a 3.2" shaft perfect for 1/10 EP gearing. Was thining a 1110 or a 1112, not sure if 1115 would be too much motor, probably in the ~1600-1800 kv range.
Anyone have any suggestions or other motor recommendations? (aside from the Novaks - I've had them and I prefer something I can run off a MM)
