Poor Mans Tuber #2 - 12.05.2008, 02:54 AM

Few months ago i tried my first attempt at brazing and came up with this in about 5 hours...

NOW, that frame is all bent up due to its lack of bracing. so i began a new one..Now... i did get in trouble by the GF cuz its finals week, and i promised i wouldnt work on ANY RC stuff and STUDY STUDY STUDY......but that didnt happen
Tool about 2 hours from paper to almost done. Havent put in all the braces cuz iran outa material. but here it is. A whooping $7

More pics to come as i finish it up. Not the prettiest thing, but its cheap

Now that's fabricatin'

I thought about making one out of thinwalled stainless tube TIG welded. and actually wanted to do geometric frame (think Ducati) shock towers on my Mutant. Good possibility I will at some point.

Very good job, and the beauty is that when a weak spot makes itself evident, you can just braze another piece in.

I want to see more like this!
