I don't know how many of you watched the GP2 in Istanbul, Turkey. I did and what a day. Bruno Senna the nephew of the great Ayrton Senna was in a freak accident. Two dogs got into the race track and Bruno hit one of them and it caused major damage to his car. Bruno was flaming after he got to the pit and you can see in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j400C3IAOC0.
Damn!! Never seen something like that happen before at a race. Its a shame for both the dog and driver... especially the driver. The dog was just too stupid to run in the middle of the track...

Dogs have no clue. Some how though I think it was more tragic for the dog since it lost it's life. The dogs were probably scared out onto the track by people chasing them in the first place. It was a poor effort though that the yellow flags weren't up sooner. This seems to happen a lot though in motor sport. In Australia it's kangaroos, lots of green grass around the tracks attracts them. I can't remember where it was but i remember a MotoGP rider hitting a dear too.
Yes that was a shame. It was also nice to hear Bruno as he was ranting and raving in the pits. He clearly says there was an F##ing dog in the middle of the track, on live television. What a bad break for Bruno and his million dollar car.
