mmm works but no castle link hookup - 06.10.2008, 07:12 AM

ok so mmm is working . castle link under software says monster max. the link cable light is on and blinking and the fan on mmm turns on when usb is pluged in . but no adjustments show up in program.also in "my computer" it does not show an extra hardware device.
software is finding the MMM but no data is being transmitted.
just tried it outside again and truggy is working.

i pluged in my MM and that works so it isnt my laptop.

update- wont enter manual mode either. but still working driving around.

turn the switch on. Mine did this once and i switched the switch around and it came to. Also make sure you have all updates installed (firmware, latest castle link etc...)

I think you need to update to the newest version of the Castle Link v3.051. The newest version of the firmware is still 3.17. If you are using v3.051 try uninstalling and reinstalling. I had this problem when I first got my MMM but
I can't remember what the cause was exactly. I think it was because I was using v3.04.

yep when you get home update the castle software and if the MMM needs a firmware update do that as well and you should be ok.

update did the trick.

now what settings do i want?

i have 2 motors
a neu 1515 2df

and a ( yuk) fine design something maybe a 7xl? who knows.

i have the 7xl with the MMM in a xt8 for the moment and testing. when i get another neu ill put the 1515 in the truggy. for now the 1515 is in my 808 with a MM.

5s in the truggy with the mmm and 7xl is what i want settings for
