My old school Clodbuster crawler/basher - 11.04.2007, 05:36 PM

Hi guys, hope you don't mind me sharing some photos of my old Clodbuster. Unfortunately, I disassembled the truck last year, so it is no more, but I will build another soon. It was kind of a one off hybrid truck, taking the TXT-1 suspension and chassis, and adding a set of Clodbuster axles in the mix. It was a lot of fun to build and run, but I learned a lot from it and will carry over that knowledge to the next project. My next Clod will be an all out crawler. This old set-up ran Magentic Mayhems, on 8 cells, 9T pinions, lockers, A Super Rooster, and other little special bits and pieces. I miss it, but my next Clod will be a lot of fun too. This old truck my live again someday, with re-worked suspension geometery, and a lower stance with more ground clearance. Seems I enjoy building them more then running them anyway!

Hope to share the build of my new crawler, just as soon as I round up the parts. I have a lot of different projects going on at the same time. RCs are fun!

That truck is imacculate. Nice work, I can see why you miss it. Even in the pic where it's digging in the dirt it still looks perfectly clean.

Such a sweet truck. My favorite pictures are the 1st, 3rd and 4th from your original post. I like how in the 3rd picture the truck is spraying dirt, but is still perfectly clean and shiny.

Thanks guys! I always try to keep my RCs clean and well maintained.

ClodMaxx, I'm a fan of the JPS chassis as well. I had one, at one point, but sold it before building it. In short, I really love the cantilevered suspension Clods best.

Thanks for the nice words!

That is such a cool truck! Do you have any videos of it in action?
