Motor recomendation for 5s please - 06.29.2008, 11:25 PM

I've been getting too much heat in my Muggy (13 lbs) on 5s with both a Feigao 9xl and with an Align 600xl. I'm running 11/46. I'm pretty sure I need a lower kv motor to keep the heat down. I don't really want to spend big bucks on this one, any ideas?

Presonally, I would go with a kb45xl motor. Something like the 8xl. These motors are beasts. I have a 10l in an OFNA GTP and it is easilly pulling 100-110 amps and not really getting hot, maybe 120f.

going to a 10 or 11XL could do it and check your motor timing if it is not already make sure it is set @ 0
