Wow, a 500 mm motor, that is huge, almost 20 inches long!
I think they mean 50mm.
Interesting that the included fan is only good for 2s lipo. I guess that you could plug it into the rec instead of the esc and run it that way.
I have a feeling that a sidewinder with a 4600 motor is a better bet, although you would have to buy a casle link to program it.
You get what you pay for...

That is the eZRun line from Hobbywing. They have the 18A, 25A, 35A and 60A version. They'll also be releasing soon an 1/8 scale controller and the boat version as well with water cooling http://www.hobbywing.com/english/NewsInfo.asp?id=88. I have what might only be the only Xerun 120A controller in the US, but that has changed now that most Speed Passion controller comes with the maker's name on the esc casing. You can get more info at www.hobbywing.com and you can also see those at www.speedpassion.net. I think I just won the 60A version so I can try it out with my high Kv Neu 1107/1.5D, Mega ACn16/15/1 and some other motors I'll be testing soon. I'm wondering what those fools in rctech's Speed Passion ESC thread are saying now after they believed all the hype from Schumacher.
I've been asking Hobbywing for a car controller before they were even thinking about making them. I also mentioned 6S and higher voltage for 1/8 scale racing, but Hobbywing just kind of let me down. As most of you know I'm helping other companies to bring out more car controllers. Scorpion already sent me a 6S controller to test and give them feedback. Another company will come into play with some amazing technology and I'm just waiting for their first 1/10 car controller to come out and I'll post info afterwards. The car market deserves more credit and we will see how all of this plays out.

Hobbywing is the manufacturer, so the Speed Passion GT, Venom and Orion esc looks like the Xerun. The Losi seems to be made by another company and I think I know who they are. I have the Xerun 120A and it is a great controller. Too bad the company isn't as great. I asked them to make me 2000 units of a controller that would be different then the Speed Passion GT and Hobbywing said they don't want to loose their friendship with Speed Passion.

That looks like a Hacker C50XL clone, nice job!
I've just completed bench testing of my new hobbycity KD36-74-9XL (1900kv), beast of a motor. I love that low pitch zummmm sound it makes, versus the hvmaxx motor which sounds like a really angry mosquito; zimmmmmmm! For ~$20, I couldnt say no- just hoping the weather stays nice for tomorrow so I can go have a proper play at the park.

I also got the KD36-74-9XL to do a comparison with the ones I pictured. I also got other Kv motors to test with higher voltage too. Now I either have to try and make a new motor mount for my MBX5T with Mr. C's conversion to fit the 44mm diameter case of those motors. I could also cut the chassis where the motor is. Let me know how your KD36-74-9XL does?
