Really have no idea what to do. I was switching the motor mount on my CRT.5 from a free one I got to Mike's mount, and when putting the motor onto the new mount, the screw just kept on turning forever. I tried a new screw and the same thing, so I know it is the motor.

Any recommendations on what to do? I need this thing running by this weekend, because I am going on vacation and am bringing all my rc's to run.

I was thinking about trying a tiny bit of epoxy on the thread and just make sure none gets into the motor.

What do you guys think?

You probably need to tap it out a size larger. Be careful not to get metal pieces inside the motor.

what motor? If it has removeable end bells like the lehner or newer Nues (pun

) you could take it off and opent the hole to the next size up.

Also, Most motors have 4 mounting holes in the front. Cant you just turn it so you are using the other 2 mounting holes?

CA glue may be a temporary fix. Simply put a tiny amount on the threads of the screws, and then carefully thread it in. Don't put so much that it gets on the innards of the motor though.

That may be a temporary fix.

The motor is a Lehner XL2400. Thanks for the advice. Hopefully this won't happen again, so I won't need to try it.

But I want to thank jhautz for fixing my problem. But I also want to let you know that you made me feel like an absolute retard

when you mentioned that the motor has 4 holes in the front. I knew it had 4 holes, but it didn't register right away.

Classic. I figured you would smack me for asking something so silly.

Get one of these and screw it to the front of the motor using the 3 good screw holes that are left and you wont have to worry about any more stripped holes. And if they do strip its a $12 fix.

It might be a little big in diameter for the XL motors, but it should work just fine, the screw hole pattern is the same as all of the other motors.

Mike needs to whip up some of those to bolt to the front of a kb45, so that it can have a 25mm bolt spacing.

That would not work. It would have to have threaded holes on the 25mm spacing. And it would have to have 30mm spacing across the center, not across the legs.
