Need to find some Clamp Style motor mounts - 07.05.2008, 11:25 PM

Looking for anything like these, they are from mega usa, but if you know of any other mfg or site, let me know

Need to fit a 36mm motor, so any std 540 size clamp should work fine. This is going on a semi custom project (hint it is a nitro 4tec conversion....)

I know a place to get those, but I'm not telling you . Check what I have : http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...75&postcount=2. I'll give you a couple hints. One is www.rumrunnerracing.com and the other is ebay. The guy I bought it from is selling them on ebay.

I have always thought of converting a 3.3 4-Tec to BL....using a Hyperion long can or a Neu, a motor capable of being geared up without turning into a fireball

The TechnoRC mounts look pretty interesting, but can't really think of a good app where I would use them.

The Tekno ones do seem to be a good alternative. I like how they help support the entire motor, yet allow the front end screws to be used to prevent the motor from turning inside the mount. The other clamp-style mounts are basically holding the motor via friction and may tend to rotate under torque, especially with typical vehicle drive style.

I'll make it easy for lincpimpster: http://www.rumrunnerracing.com/fefor...ad.php?t=25368. He had some listed in ebay, but I can't find the link for it.

Size wise, it looks like a perfect fit with the clutch adapter. I can even use one set of the slotted nitro mount holes to attach it. That way I only have to drill 2 extra holes in the chassis.

I'm sure it'll work with the Tekno clutch adapter since they make this also. This is the mount they're putting in the new conversion kits they have coming out. They also have 40mm and 44mm versions.

Thats funny. I have purchased stuff from FDM once, and it took over a month to get him to ship it, no to mention the shipping times. I would not buy there again.

Looks like it will fit a nitro 4tec perfectly, since I am using the electric clutch adapter, and a 2 speed clutch bell. And mech brakes. I am sure that we could find uses for it. I'll giunea pig this one and see how the tekno mount does.... Any reason that tekno does not carry it, but Impakt does?

Yep, that was my only issue with clamp mounts, need to use some glue or something to hold it in there better.

I saw that one, wanted to see the std style 540 mount too.

I ended up buying the tekno mount from impakt, and I got an upgraded 5mm shaft rotor for my c50 maxx motor. It looks like the tekno mount will work perfectly with the 4-tec chassis. We will see...

If it doesn't work out, shoot me a PM. I have some mounts the style you posted originally. I haven't got any use for them.
